1.Be Present Simpie

• Introduction:

   Be there are three(am is are).Be mean in Khmer មាន​  នៅ  គឺជា
   Be "am" we use with subject pronouns " I ".
        " is " we ues with subject pronouns " He She It ".
        " are " we ues with subject pronouns " You We They ".

• Form: General form Sub + tobe + noun / adjective

1. Positive form: Sub + tobe + Obj.
2. Negative form: Sub + tobe + not + Obj.
3. Question form: Tobe + sub + Obj + ?

Ex:  She is a student at the university.
       She is not student at the university.
       Is she student at the university?

• In speech,we usually use the short form

• Use: We use Be

1. To talk about who we are: Ex: My name is Phaly.I'm 20.I'm a student at university.
2. To talk about the place: Ex: Phnom Penh is in Cambodia.Mary and I are in Prey Veng.
3. To talk about the weather: Ex: It's cold today. It's beautiful day. It's usually hot here.
4. To talk about the time: Ex: It's Five O'clock. You're late.
5. To talk about people'ages: Ex: She is sixteen years old.I'm 20.
6. To talk about how we feel: Ex: Today I'm happy. She's tried. They're bored.
7. To talk about to say hello: Ex: Hello,How are you?.I'm fine thanks.
8. To talk about to apologize: Ex: I'm sorry.I'm late today.
9. To talk describe things: Ex: It's expensive.It isn't cheap.
